As an emerging writer, I’m happy to celebrate the 100th sample download of my verse novel Mostly Friday Nights this week! I stand by the work as an homage to the great tradition of long verse in the form of ottava rima, and that reminds me, I really need to make time to re-read The Adventures of Don Juan. Such a rollicking tale! I still wonder what the Lord’s contemporaries made of him with that delightful tale. I haven’t received a lot of feedback from readers about the work, except my brother who sees himself in one of the characters, but there is a lot of archetyping going on so it is understandable. I’ve moved on from this space, but I still have a lot of happy memories of both the seventies and writing about the seventies.
